Equality/Inequality
This is one of the 9th/10th grade teaching teams. Students stay with the same team of teachers for two years. Equality-Inequality is composed primarily of students who are new to the country and the language. Diversity of country of origin, language and level are very ingredients for a project based curriculum and a lot of group work. This team aims to use project making and group work to help new students understand and adjust to their new environment and learn English both practical and academic setting( are these the right terms? ) . The mixing of 9th and 10th graders allows the 10th graders, who are in their second year cycle in the team, to orient and guide students to the culture of the school. This, we hope, will give these 10th graders to assume leadership roles.
